Regular Barn Stabling Plan

This Barn is used for our competiton ponies and mares in the first two months of pregnancy (SIM). This is the main Barn for all of our competition ponies (except stallions). All the stalls are 12ft x 12ft and are all fitted with automatic waterers, hayracks, corner mangers, tie-up rings and the doors are double bolted. The floors are concreted, but they have a rubber layer over the top, for grip, comfort and warmth. The stable is made out of stone and was professionally built, therefore it has adequate ventilation. All the horses in here are turned out for most of the day and they are bedded on shavings which are fully mucked out every day and skipped out last thing at nights. There are bars between stables so the horses can see other horses around them as if they were naturally in a herd.
