Woodcroft Golden Girl was born in the evening after her Mum went into labour early after she was chased by a dog. That evening a filly was born and although she was weak and undersized, her looks were amazing. Her bloodlines are the best haflinger bloodlines you can get, with the highest pointed stallion and mare in the haflinger world been her parents. She holds a lot of our hopes as she is Alex's first foal and she holds a lot of potential. Therefore, we named her 'Promise'. She has a sleek chestnut coat and her mother's fine facial features, she is an absolute beauty. Promise has lots of potential showing in hand, with her conformation been almost flawless. When she is older, she will probably have the scope for high level dressage and maybe some low level hunter classes. Her mother and father are both dressage stars, and her mother has won many championships for hunter, so we are going to wait and hope. As we have loose schooled her, we have noticed that she has a good shape over jumps and is eager to learn. She has long smooth paces in the field and although she is halter broken and we have imprinted her, we haven't had a rider on her back yet, but we hope to in the next few months. Her personality has come from her mother, she is gentle and sweet, while spirited and willing to please. Out in the field, Promise is a sweet filly with a special attatchment to Bonfire until he was sold. When she lost her friend, she was upset and pined for a couple of days, but she has since made close friends with Star over the fence. If Star is gelded, we would love to keep him and put the two of them together, but we can't. Promise is a beautiful little girl and everyone knows that this filly is special; Alex should be proud of his first foal.
