Yes, well, nobody's perfect. I saw a highland stallion up for stud and it said 'this is the only highland in EF' and I thought shock, horror, a native british breed which is hardly recognised in EF. Therefore, 5 mins later I had a new highland mare *g*. 'Thyme' is a beautifully coloured shining silver dun mare with dark points and a small star. She is quite stockily built and muscular and one of only a few rare highlands in EF.
'Thyme' can be ridden under saddle and worked in harness. Her stocky building makes her perfect for hunter classes and she can easily jump 3'. 'Thyme' is also a very useful horse in harness and is quite often seen on the local roads pulling a small trap as a form of alternative exercise. However, perhaps this silver mare's speciality is dressage. Her smooth paces and impressive extensions always put her in good standing and we hope to do some dressage shows with her. In the stable, Thyme is very careful and tries not to do anything wrong, but despite all her dressage grace, she can be quite lazy and clumsy and steps on people's feet and her own feet. She is very placid and yet another horse whose world revolves around food (do I have a sign above my head saying 'I am the food master' *LoL). Thyme is a lovely pony to own and we are going to breed from her as soon as we find a suitable stallion.
