17/6/00 - Look at the date. Anyway, I've had exams, but I'm back and I'm going to do a lot of updating...

7/5/00 - Done it :o)

30/4/00 - I have started drawing up the new plans but i haven't uploaded them yet. I have worked out 9 more horses so far, but I have big plans... I am looking to have the new site uploaded by the 7th May with all the show records off the horses pages and all the big pages up and I hope to have made as many smaller horses pages as possible, starting with the studs, then working along. In light of the new rules, I am also going to promote breeding by lowering all my stud fees, so my horses get the breeding titles sooner. I'll have some changes uploaded soon.

25/4/00 - EF is going to reset all the horses points. I'm trying to work out if it's worth keeping the old show records. I don't think it really is. When EF restarts, I'm going to close down the haflinger registry as it has never been really popular and then make the most of the restart by expanding Woodcroft. I worked out today that:
  • I have 19 mares and fillies (7 which I made up, 3 I bred and 9 I bought or was given)
  • I have 3 geldings (2 I made up, 1 I bought)
  • I have 14 stallions and colts (3 which I made up, 1 which I bred and 10 which I bought or was given)
  • Therefore, I have only made up 12 horses and my limit is 40 made up horses (28 more). Woodcroft is going to expand !!!

Here are the basic plans for expansion:

  1. The new capacity will be 65 horses; 25 stallions and 40 mares.
  2. I will still have 150 acres; 10 with buildings and facilities and the other 140 will be fields for grazing.
  3. The current regular barn will be slightly modified and will become the stallion barn with 25 stalls.
  4. A new regular barn with 40 stalls will be built.
  5. The former stallion barn will be converted into a feed room and the old feed room will be added on to the tack room to make a very large tack room.
  6. I will hire 3 new grooms, making 4 and therefore each one would have about 10 horses and me and my sisters would do the rest. I will also get a few new riders (my sisters and my friends).

12/4/00 - I'm the new Judiciary Council Head - wish me luck. That was a quick, non-relevant update. Oh yeah, and my baby, NCh Woodcroft Cotton Candy has been sold ::sniff::
8/4/00 - There have been lots of show results coming out recently of shows I entered but I'm not in any of the results. I wonder what's happening ??? I've updated all the pages recently and I've made new ones for Notty and Touchy. (I'm working on the rest at the moment). There's also been a new foal born:
  • Woodcroft Rosemary
  • Speed aged to 3 y/o
  • Dun
  • Highland
  • Filly
  • Basil x Wodcroft Silver Thyme
She will be up for sale as soon as I register her, so keep your eyes open if you want one of the few highlands in EF. I am also working on some new horse stats as I have plans to bring in quite a few new horses after the re-start. New broodmares and a new haflinger stallion. More about that soon !!!
1/4/00 - April Fools Day.... hehehehehe..... Anyway, the main reason for this update is to tell everyone about the new ponies I have been given as Lori Blake has decided to leave EF. They will have pages up soon:
  • IHa Nottingham (EASC) - the highest pointed horse in EF. A well-known connemara stallion
  • WCh Touch Me Nott - one of the best youngsters around
  • MS Jewel - a lovely New Forest mare (rare british breed I am going to start breeding)
  • MS Duke - New Forest Stallion
  • MS Goddess - a wonderful dressage prospect, new forest mare.
  • Basil - the sire of Woodcroft Silver Thyme's soon to be foal and the only highland stallion in EF (you know my feelings on this subject)
Good luck to these horses in their future at the stud.
25/3/00 - I haven't been updating recently, but there's been nothing really to update about. Quite a lot of show results still aren't out. EF is changing hands so everything is pretty slow at the moment and I'm quite busy in RL. If you want some news, I've registered some of my ponies in the Pony Finals and I'm still debating whether or not to put that on their page. I'm also going to 'do' a page for the show results instead of taking up room on this page, so that should be up soon (if it isn't by the time you read this). I'm also working on a new, super-efficient (I wish) breeding plan. More about that soon.
12/3/00 - Whew, very loooooooong time since last update. Let's see, bought 4 new dales ponies, Coyale Hill Show full results still not out, sold a few youngsters, oh yeah, and MY MUM HAS HAD THE BABY. This is the reason I'm not especially active at the moment.
20/2/00 - I've not got the points back from the Coyale Hill Grand Opening Show yet, so I'm not giving more praise to my angels, but I've seen some more of the results and they are really good. I haven't updated for a while because there's not been much to update about. I've added linking banners for anyone who wants to link to Woodcroft Pony Stud (just check out the main page). My personal web page is also nearly finished and should be uploaded by mid-week.
7/2/00 - Everything's pretty quiet at the moment, my grooms have been doing a fabulous job and some of the youngsters have been showing succesfully. The experienced horses were entered in a big show last month, so they are having some time off and everything is very settled at the moment. I've got a few of the results to the Coyale Hill Grand Opener show back and it looks like all the ponies have done very well. I have written a story page here about what happened at the show and the results so far.
29/1/00 - I've added a new mare care section to the services page as now Woodcroft Pony Stud offers top quality mare care. Look here for more details. I've found a british native pony breed that is very unknown in EF, shock horror. Anyway, about 5 mins after I found this out, I had a new highland mare. Say hello to Woodcroft Silver Thyme. I've also added a horseshoe cursor to the main page (if it works, which it probably won't). Oh yeah, if any LOGO makers read this, then I need a new banner for all the Woodcroft pages. e-mail me for more details if you want to have a go at making a logo.
22/1/00 - Got some show results back. A lot of the youngsters did really well in their first shows and I'm very pleased with them. We are waiting for the results of a bigger show which the older horses were entered into with baited breath because we have high hopes for the show. I hope I have good news next time I report.
16/1/00 - this is not the most efficient stable manager of all time, not updating in nearly a fortnight, but something called mock exams got in the way. And school has always come before horses (particularly SIM ones) in my house. Anyway, my exams are over now, so
  • Well, the page was deleted about a week ago, but only the index page which was alright (memories of freez still haunt me). It's perfectly fine now though
  • Jobs filled. Welcome to Woodcroft. Our new Grooms/Excercise riders are Emily & Anna Brown. Our new breeding manager is Elizabeth M. We hope they enjoy their time at Woodcroft and provide a valuable contribution to the stud.
  • Sold horses - we must say a sad farewell to Dresden Ace of Spades, Mystic Ocean, Grand Entrance, Bonfire and Woodcroft Perfection. They have all gone to new homes and we hope they will be very happy there.

8/1/00 - I got bored today (well, I was revising), so instead of having the rubbishy standard font on all of my pages, I changed it to tahoma which is (in my opinion) a lot better.
4/1/00 - Phew, I've been busy over the last few days, but there won't be any major changes to the site until I upload them at the weekend. What have I done ??? Well
  1. I've updated all the vet records on the horses pages
  2. I've improved and extended the tour page
  3. I've added a page with the history of Woodcroft on it
  4. I've updated the facilities page
  5. I've added a page detailing upcoming events at Woodcroft and how people can hire the facilities
  6. I've added a feed room with lots of infomation
  7. I've added a lot of infomation about safety and security
Do you think that's enough ???
1/1/00 - WE DID IT !!! HAPPY MILLENNIUM and at 3 am when I got in I found out ::drumroll:: WOODCROFT PONY STUD IS AN APPROVED EQUUS FOREVER BARN. Hooray !!!!!!!!!!! We got 9.25 out of 10 which was the joint second highest score out of 24 stables in the second batch of approvals. It was very difficult to get approved and there was lots of competition, but WE MADE IT !!!
